Big Changes at Yoshikigoi for 2025

For the last 18 years, under Ernest’s direction Yoshikigoi have produced some of the most beautiful award-winning certified SVC and KHV Free Koi available anywhere in the world, with many varieties at a standard that even the Japanese struggle to beat. 2025 will see big changes at the Yoshikigoi Farm and we are very pleased, and excited to welcome Andrew Lintott to the team as General Manager. As well as having been a friend and supporter of Yoshikigoi for more than 6years now, Andrew also has vast experience of ornamental commercial fish farming successfully operating his own Farm and owning the largest online retailer of Coldwater and Tropical fish in the UK for the last 29 years.

The Yoshikigoi Farm and its operations have grown considerably over the last few years. Andrew’s wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise in fish farming, preparing fish for shipment, fish health and his commercial and sector knowledge is going to be instrumental in transforming Farm operations and taking Yoshikigoi to the next level in 2025.

We are therefore very proud to announce that Andrew now heads up a new Yoshikigoi Farm team made up of Merv as Farm Manager, with Jos who continues to head up the breeding and selection programme along with the rest of the great team who do outstanding work there for us. As a part of the planned changes for 2025, the Farm will now be sending regular deliveries into the UK throughout the season in our temperature-controlled vans and we are investing in new recirculation systems on the Farm for the separation and preparation of orders before shipping.

There will also be a new website that will show exactly what is available for sale at any time with photos and videos of every batch, both for the public and dealers, with dealer log-in options. We are also excited to announce that we are looking to hold fully quarantined smaller fish in the UK for immediate despatch whenever our dealers require them, meaning our customers will no longer have to wait weeks between deliveries.

2024 has been a great year for breeding and the Farm has the highest numbers of fantastic quality Koi from 7cm-77cm available – some of the best that we have ever had.

Andrew says, “I am really looking forward to this new move in my career and using my expertise to move Yoshikigoi forward in the UK and Europe. I have loved Yoshikigoi Koi ever since I saw them 6 years ago and my company has been buying them ever since. Having purchased Koi from nearly every country possible, I can honestly say that Yoshikigoi are amongst the best in the world. With a fantastic team now running my own businesses in the UK, I am extremely excited to be able to bring my many years of hands-on, practical knowledge of running a commercial fish farm to Yoshikigoi”

We are certainly very excited and very pleased to welcome Andrew into the Yoshikigoi family, and I am sure that you will all join us in congratulating him on his new role. We look forward to continuing our existing relationships, and to welcoming new clients and customers to Yoshikigoi in 2025
